Professor Valrey Mitrofanenko from Stavropol , Russia helps wrap school #1 in Beslan , Russia with our Banner of Hope, September 1, 2005

The Mother's of Beslan, some of women who lost their children in the school massacre, on the school grounds where the tragedy occurred. They did not retaliate with violence but with peace. We awarded them our Children's Peace Prize sculpture for their courage in the face of unfathomable loss.  The women are seated in front of our mile long Banner of Hope that bears the names of children killed in wars from all across the planet.
The Mother's of Beslan are photographed with our documentary filmmakers Bob Fox and Andrew Andersen and our representative in Japan , Koko Tanimoto Kondo.

These two boys are survivors of the massacre. They helped us attach the Banner of Hope to school #1 where many of their classmates were murdered.
