Over 100 awards have been given to date. The Peace Prize Program focuses world attention on peace and brings together children from around the globe in a constructive sharing of ideas to advance world understanding. It provides opportunities for recognition of children whose brilliant ideas on peace would not otherwise be acknowledged. Peace Prize winners have gone on to receive educational scholarships and to pursue college degrees in peace education.
